CCE Ground Breaking

One more ground breaking! The entire Caltech community is invited to the ground breaking ceremony for the Warren and Katherine Schlinger Laboratory for Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. The ceremony will take place just east of the Noyes Laboratory courtyard at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2008.

The ceremony will honor Warren and Katherine Schlinger. There will be short presentations by the following:

• Jean-Lou Chameau, President of Caltech
• Dr. David Tirrell, Chemistry Division Chair
• Jon Jackson, Architect for Bohlin Cywinski Jackson
• Warren and Katherine Schlinger, Donors

There will be a model of the building on display and some renderings. Light refreshments will be served.

Over the next couple of months you can expect:

• Setup for the site trailers
• Excavation
• Layout of foundation
